Pär: "From Falun (2008 live version included on the Re-Armed version of the album - ed. note) this is of course special since it is recorded in our hometown. Even though we have played hundred of concerts we have not so many recorded in good quality but Falun 2008 we have. Why we choosed Into The Fire is because we all agree that it makes itself much better live than on the album, and this is the proof that it does."
During some live performances, the band would completely stop playing the song in the middle before continuing further.
In the late 1960's, the American forces landed in Vietnam with the intention to quickkly remove the political leadership controlled by the politburo in Moscow. It proved harder than they anticipated.
The Second Indochina War (called the Vietnam War in the West and the American War in Vietnam) was a proxy war in the context of the Cold War. It was fought from 1954 to the fall of Saigon on April 30th, 1975 between North Vietnam and its southern allies, known as the Viet Cong or simply VC, (supported by the Soviet Union, China, and other communist allies) and South Vietnam (supported by the United States and other anti-communist nations). Napalm was used extensively in this conflict and primarily deployed via airstrikes. Napalm in its original form contained naphthenic and palmitic acid plus petroleum as fuel. Modern napalm is a mixture of plastic polystyrene, hydrocarbon benzene, and gasoline. This mixture creates a jelly-like substance that, when ignited, sticks to practically anything and burns up to ten minutes. It burns at temperatures of 800 to 1,200 C (1,500 – 2,200 F). The effects of napalm on the human body are unbearably painful and almost always cause death among its victims. [Fan generated content by: Joe Arino]
