Christoffer "Chris" Rörland (born 27th December 1986) is a Swedish guitarist and graphic designer. He is the current rhythm guitarist in Sabaton. He also does backing vocals and occasional lead vocals for Sabaton.


After hearing Iron Maiden at a friend's house, he begged his parents to buy him a guitar for his seventh birthday. Since then, Chris knew that he wanted to be an artist.[1] He grew up listening to 80's heavy metal bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.[2][3] His major influences are Adrian Smith (idol)[4], John Petrucci, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen.

He did a military service in Sweden as a munition driver. A big, big, big truck with ammunition and explosives.[5]

In his free time, Chris likes to be home, spend time with his family, girlfriend, cats and dogs. He enjoys playing video games.[6]


Rörland first started as a session guitarist for a band called Enterprise. He also played in a Swedish death/thrash metal band TME. In 2010, he joined Swedish power metal band Nocturnal Rites. He joined Sabaton in 2012 with Thobbe Englund after Rikard Sundén and Oskar Montelius left the band.

With Tommy Johansson, Hannes Van Dahl and Thobbe Englund he played various covers in the band The Last Heroes on Sabaton Open Air in 2017 and 2018.

He's also a graphic designer for bands. He draws artworks and makes designs.[7]
